Whole Wheat Reduced Sugar Olive Oil Chocolate Chip Cookies



  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Pompeian Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • sea salt, for topping
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
  2.  Whisk brown sugar, Pompeian Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil, vanilla and egg together until well combined. 
  3. Pour in flour, baking soda, and salt and mix together until fully combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to scoop batter onto prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 7-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Top with sea salt and enjoy!
