Vanilla Pear Fruit Shrub
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1/2 pear, sliced
- 1/2 cup Pompeian Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
- Simmer water, sugar and vanilla bean in a small saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the sliced pears and continue to simmer mixture until it thickens and reduces. Stir in the Pompeian Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and simmer on low until the pears become soft. Remove the syrup from heat and strain. Cool the syrup.
- To serve, pour the desired amount of syrup over ice and top with soda water or ginger ale.
